Our postoperative Trauma Care Plan is structured to meet every need that can help the client recover faster in a more comfortable space at home. The role of our home nurses or nursing attendants is to administer intravenous drugs, dress a wound at proper intervals, provide any other medical nursing care, in addition to helping the clients perform their routine tasks.
Post operative care begins immediately after surgery. It continues for the length of the hospitalization and is necessary even after the patient has been discharged. Needless to say, post surgical recovery with home nursing care is not only quicker and more cost-effective but easier for the family both emotionally and physically.
People affected by cancer will most often need day-to-day support – in the form of medical support, nurse care at home, elderly care (if the patient is a senior) home help, home nursing services or personal care. Cancer patients endure a lot of pain and suffering during and after treatment. The stress and anxiety they undergo can be relieved considerably when the patient is given the option of receiving home health care services.
Professional, competent and organized home health care services can add immense value to these patients in helping them be safe and comfortable in the convenience of their homes. These services are provided through a team of physicians, registered nurses, therapists and medical caretakers.
Palliative care is also meant for people suffering from a terminal illness where a cure is not always possible and for those who have suffered, or are suffering, a complicated illness and need their symptoms controlled. This type of care (also known as hospice care) is provided for seriously ill patients who can no longer hope for a cure and need to be kept comfortable and as pain-free as long as possible during the remaining days of his or her life. Palliative or hospice care also includes caring for people who are nearing the end of their lives. In such cases, it’s also called end of life care.
The objective of palliative care is to help the patient, and everyone affected by the patient’s illness, to achieve the best quality of life.
